High Kilmacolm Reservoir is situated in an attractive rural setting in Inverclyde, around 5 miles north/east of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park and approximately 5 miles west of Kilmacolm. The site is approximately half a mile walk from an access road which leads closest to the site. The surrounding countryside provides for a variety of outdoor pursuits and is popular for golf, walking, running, cycling and water sports.
High Kilmacolm Reservoir originally contributed a supply of water for the water district within the Parish of Kilmacolm and has since been drained and disused now for some time. The site and reservoir are accessed via a single-track access road (signposted for Hardridge Farm when leaving Gateside Road) leading from the main road at Gateside Road coming in from the direction of Kilmacolm. From the end of this single track road, access to the Kilmacolm High Reservoir must be made on foot following a path. The land has potential for various uses and should be viewed by any prospective purchasers.
Interested parties must note that the reservoir is regulated by the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 and the successful purchaser will be responsible for adhering to the legislation and applying to SEPA to become the registered Reservoir Manager. This legislation provides that the reservoir must be regularly inspected for health and safety purposes.

* Generally speaking Guide Prices are provided as an indication of each seller's minimum expectation, i.e. 'The Reserve'. They are not necessarily figures which a property will sell for and may change at any time prior to the auction. Virtually every property will be offered subject to a Reserve (a figure below which the Auctioneer cannot sell the property during the auction) which we expect will be set within the Guide Range or no more than 10% above a single figure Guide.
By setting a proxy bid, the system will automatically bid on your behalf to maintain your position as the highest bidder, up to your proxy bid amount. If you are outbid, you will be notified via email so you can opt to increase your bid if you so choose.
If two of more users place identical bids, the bid that was placed first takes precedence, and this includes proxy bids.
Another bidder placed an automatic proxy bid greater or equal to the bid you have just placed. You will need to bid again to stand a chance of winning.
